Ignites discusses the scaled back travel as a result of the COVID pandemic and what a possible recession could mean for travel in the coming year. With the increased cost of travel in 2022, companies are looking to cut down on in-person meetings to cut costs amid uncertain economic conditions.
"The market fears [are now] compounded by the new way of working, since we were able to get things done remotely," said Tom Secaur, chief operating officer at consulting group Citisoft. "Still, I think it's short-sighted."
