Big news today from Markit and IHS who have announced their planned merger, forming a $13-billion London-based data heavyweight. Markit has been thriving in recent years and with this newly expanded business, they stand to divert sales from some of the industry's largest incumbent data providers. In our 2016 outlook, we wagered that the industry would see the transformation of data-driven solutions over the course of the New Year.
